👋 Hey there, welcome to MidWork! Let me introduce myself — I’m Onni, the solo founder behind this project.

I’ve discovered that searching for new job opportunities can be incredibly time-consuming, especially for someone like me, who thrives in software engineering rather than sales. This process often feels like a whole different skill set, distinct from actually being good in the job itself. The friction I’ve encountered has fueled my curiosity to develop a product not only to streamline my own job search but also to assist others in finding their next workplace 👩🏻‍💻👔👷🏼🏭.

With over a decade of software engineering and leadership experience, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. My journey in the tech realm has been quite the ride, with a strong focus on crafting solutions for ecommerce, payments, and accounting systems. I’ve had the privilege of working with very interesting clients, where my contributions have translated into millions of euros in revenue growth and cost savings 📈.

But it’s not all about numbers for me. As someone who values inclusivity and growth, I found immense satisfaction in fostering the growth of my team members. One particular highlight was guiding a mid-level team member to seniority and later on management position, showcasing my dedication to mentorship and growth 🤝.

Beyond the screen, I’m all about embracing life’s adventures. Whether it’s paddling down rivers 🛶, rope climbing rocky cliffs 🧗, or immersing myself in the thrill of outdoor hikes 🥾, you’ll find me there. And when it’s time to unwind, I enjoy nothing more than savoring a craft beer 🍻, diving into a classic films 🎥, or over-analyzing my moves over a board games 🎲.

Rooted in Tallinn, Estonia 🇪🇪, I share my life with my wife and our beloved Labrador retriever. Our adventures, whether traversing the European landscape in our custom camper van or exploring local treasures, speak volumes about our shared love for exploration and discovery.
